Besides working hard on his newly started Congaloid label, Italian born but London residing producer/dj Stefano Ritteri AKA Solo is busy putting together blissful remixes such as this one of forthcoming single “Unhappy Ending” from Canadian singstress Jenna Andrews.

It might be a slow burner but it’s an excellent slow burner with soulful vocals, a chugging bassline and church bells tolling in the background that has us grooving out here at Discobelle HQ.

Los Angeles rock band Rival Sons released its second album, Pressure & Time, last summer. And while the group hasn’t offered up any subsequent new material, they recently re-released the effort along with a bonus DVD. In case you are new to the party, here is a cut from the album called “Face Of Light” – an anthemic acoustic ballad that reveals the group’s more introspective side. This shape-shifting remix of Crystal Fighters' "I Love London" by the mysterious Is Tropical starts in the arena, dives into hyperdrive lo-fi and then settles into a groove of hypnotic clipped sound. It feels international, clubby and tropical here, but the electronics remain gritty and fuzzy enough to appeal to fans of texture. The group has a new EP, P.S. We Love You, that's out May 22 on Kitsuné.

I think it’s safe to assume that Choas In The CBD‘s new Dusty Sundays EP (via Amadeus Records) will be on heavy rotation in the coming Summer months. Marcus Lambkin aka Shit Robot follows up his From The Cradle To The Rave album with a series of releases under the banner The Green Machine. First up is the 12” ‘Teenage Bass’ / ‘Space Race’, the latter of which sounds like the melded outcome of joint Giorgio Moroder and Kraftwerk inspirations.

Bypassing normal channels of distribution, Yeasayer perhaps knew their new material would inevitably end up online so they posted physical copies of their new song ‘Henrietta’ to some mailing list members and waited. Will at We All Want Someone was one of the bloggers who made it available to the world.

‘Henrietta’ continues on from the band’s Odd Blood era with tight pop production informed by spacious bass notes, refracted synths and uplifting vocals. It bodes well for album 3.

Dublin duo White Collar Boy have been making themselves a key part of Dublin’s live scene with a multitude of support slots and a biweekly club night in The Pygmalion where they host some of the best in new Irish music at the moment. This weekend, they will cross over into real life release mode with the Kinsale, a six-track EP consisting of songs not previously heard on the internet (save for the taster track ‘Long Walk Home’).

The songs are generally in a buoyant electronic mode with nods to the all-encompassing dance music of Hot Chip and ’90s electronica with vocal contributions from Gemma Dunlovely and The Mighty Stef. ‘Another Way’ is my personal favourite.

The EP is available digitally and on 12″ with a launch gig happening this Friday in Button Factory with Subaltern on support duties. Free in from 11pm.

How can Swedish-born singer-songwriter The Tallest Man On Earth capture Americana so well? Don’t know, and it don’t much matter. “1904” gives us a glimpse into the wonder that will be June 12’s There's No Leaving Now; intimate strumming, feather-weight backing and a wonderfully pitched yelp spinning a reminiscent tale so lovely you could pull it around your bony shoulders and walk bravely into the sun.
